The solitary jewel associated with my stay was the young lady at the front desk. She was very sweet and helpful.

The very first thing I noticed was the very overgrown and unkempt lawn. Just patches and tufts of uncut dirty weeds and grass heavily littered with trash (paper cups, to go boxes, potato chip bags) from residents/ passersby. Second, when I entered the lobby to check in it actually looked kind of nice, there was a clean desk with flowers and chic furniture on one end of the parlor. However, I made the mistake of looking at the whole parlor and up at the ceiling. There is no ceiling. Just dusty, rotten, wet looking exposed wood and wire. I didn't want to stare too long for fear something would fall into my eyes. One end of the parlor is completely bare and filthy. There is no parking lot and their "valet" service is a complete rip off. $30 per day x everyday you stay with the hotel. It's not even convenient. The one valet guy is a 65 year old man who barely speaks English and upon taking the $60 cash from my husband said " if you need your car here on time I need an hour's notice". An hour? Really? The room had a beautiful view which overlooked the steaming smoldering uncovered dumpster which you can smell as soon as you step outside. The dumpster lot also doubles as the valet parking waiting area. The bathroom floor was wet and filmy (I wore sandals everywhere, even on the dirty carpet I found toenail scraps on) and there was a wet soap bar in the shower from the last guests. There were no pillowcases on our pillows and our room was infested with mosquitoes. The icing on the cake was the small white envelope placed on the nightstand that read "Thank you. -Housekeeping". My husband and I still laugh when we think about the irony of that tip envelope placed in the worst and filthiest hotel room either of us had ever seen.

location and that is all everything else about the prime hotel chain is rubbish

the room i was first given looked like it hadn't been renovated since the place opened. The aircon kept stopping and hot water was in short supply .I was moved to a new room which was a lot nicer but on my third night a main water pipe in the lobby ceiling exploded and brought down the looby roof ,nobody was hurt but the hotel was evacuated and closed . the whole event took about 5 hours and while i was moved to a different hotel i was not given any compensation (refund) of any kind

The location of the Claremont is perfect to beach and Lincoln Road shops and restaurants.

No lamps worked in the room. TV remote did not work. Toilet paper ran out and desk clerk was unable to find more???

    Good

The lobby and patio were beautiful. The rest of the place could use an update. Especially the elevator... you have to press down to go up from the lobby?? Lol Besides that, the beds were clean and pillows were comfy!

When I got there Booked.net doesn't mention there is a $10 "resort fee" that supposedly all the hotels in south beach have, and the worst was the $20 parking for overnight valet that you are pretty much forced to use, as there is no where else to park near by. I would have come more prepared or gone to a better hotel. I think it would have been more worth the money if the rooms were renovated (at least the one I was in) with new carpet, updated bedding/decor, but still keep it art deco. Also, the blinds in the bathroom were broken, I couldn't put them down to get into the shower, and there was no light bulb in our lamp. Thankfully the ceiling light was working! It's really just a place to sleep, not to really relax at.

    Nothing, it was really bad.

The hotel was really dirty, there were no facilities, the wather was brown, the airco didnt work and made a lot of noise, the cleaningleadies were screaming in the hallway non stop. the elevator didnt work, it was way too expensive for such a hotel. i wouldnt recommend it to anyone nor ever go back.

    Good

The FRont Desk guys were friendly and the hotel was very well located for enjoying all South Beach has to offer.

Bathrooms tired and old. No internet in the rooms. tv had very small screen. Door locks did not seem sufficient for proper security.

The lobby gives a good impression but when you get to the room floors, the hall is very disgusting and scary. It looks like some asian dirty warehouse. The rooms are fair, not that bad. The water of the sink smelled like pure fish

The only thing I liked about the hotel was that it was close to the beach.

The rooms were not nice, the air didnt work very well, we had to change rooms 2 times because the tv didnt work in the first room and the electricity went out in the bathroom in the second room, and we were only there 2 days. we did not have a good stay there! Very disappointed!
